For the first time in its history, the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) has dedicated a program to screen horror movies.

The 35th FIFF will dedicate a section titled ‘Shadows of Horror’, which audiences can dare to sit through and watch frightening and bizarrely amazing horror movies.

Six movies from South Korea, Japan, Russia, Poland, and Mexico will be screened during the event.

In addition, an Iranian horror film will be premiered during the festival. It is interesting news for Iranian and horror film fans as Iran has produced very few productions in this genre.

Other sections to be featured during the festival include ‘Retrospective of Korean Cinema’, Baltic Nations retrospective, and a Talent Campus.

The 35th edition of the FIFF is slated to take place in the Iranian capital city of Tehran from April 21-28.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
